Knee Focus ~ Therapeutic Elements

90 minute Therapeutic Elements class. We begin supine and I share a poem about the sounds of nature that call us to get up and greet the day. Gentle shoulder range of motion exercises and massage. Hamstrings and IT band stretches and some gentle twisting. 

Onto standing where we go through Warrior II into Reverse Triangle flow with a focus on the knees.

Then we use the chair to strengthen the legs and muscles that help stabilize and balance us when we sit/stand and step up or down. To the wall for some step up exercises for the knees and legs, return to the floor for some seated twists and hip angles to stretch the worked muscles. Constructive rest is an option for Savasana.

Props: Chair, blocks, belt, wall/counter for stability and extra blanket or towel
