Tip: If your neck is bothered by having it turned, please go to the second variation with head straight on. Eventually, you may come back to turning the head. As a counter move, we complete the series with arch/flatten and arch/curl.
Info- Inspired by Thomas Hanna Somatic work, this class covers the first steps in freeing up compensatory tight patterns in the front and back sides of the body. Before rotational or side bending actions can be reset, it is important to find ease and natural movement in the front/back body actions. Notice what 'under' effort-ing can do to release and re-educate the tissues. Please take your time with these. Keep working with each one until they make sense in your body and you've decreased any stuck tension in the belly and back muscles. Only then, progress to the next step. This may take days/weeks, so take your time and don't overdue.
