17 minute Somatic Reset class Step 4 Supine Rotation. Now that you feel efficiency and ease with Arch & Flatten, Arch & Curl, Back Lifts, and Side Bending, this short class teaches you about rotation with a supine somatic Steeple Twist. We complete this series with a gentle arch and flatten.

Info- Inspired by Thomas Hanna Somatic work, this class covers the next steps in freeing up compensatory tight patterns in the spine's ability to rotate. Once the body has found ease in the front, back and side bodies, the more complex actions of twisting and rotating can be explored. Notice what 'under' effort-ing can do to release and re-educate the tissues. Please take your time with these and know that you can make the movements smaller if needed. As long as you aren't experiencing pain, practice each one until they make sense in your body and you've decreased any stuck tension. This may take days/weeks, so take your time and don't overdue.

When all the steps have been well understood in your body, this practice becomes a tool to use as needed. The hope is that this form of somatic work allows us to exit out of chronic pain and give us the freedom to enjoy all kinds of movement. Return to this series when you know you need a reset, and try to practice it as soon as you recognize the need.
